Eclissi
The sun that keeps time.
Eclissi is the most sculptural edition of SOLIS. At its centre, a dark, solid disc; around it, a crown of rays opening towards the wall, seeming to hold back a light that comes from behind, like the moment the moon passes in front of the sun.
It is the meeting point of two ways of measuring time: the ancient one, tied to the path of the sun, and the everyday one of the clock hands. An object to look at rather than to consult, which naturally becomes the centre of the room.
A clock, but first of all a work of art
Eclissi is a working wall clock. Its slender hands glide over the central disc with no numbers or markers: time is read from their position, as on a sundial, leaving the stage to the form.
