The concept

The sun has always been the symbol of beginnings: it brings warmth, rhythm and renewal. In every culture, from the first carvings in stone to the rose windows of cathedrals, people have drawn it to keep it close. It is an ancient image, one we recognise before we even think about it.

The shapes around us speak in silence. A sign that opens from the centre outwards recalls morning light, warmth, energy spreading out; the eye rests on it and the room seems to breathe differently. It is the dialogue, often unconscious, between those who inhabit a space and the objects they choose to live with.

This is where SOLIS begins. Denise Lombardi translates the sun into an essential sign, where the geometry of the rays meets the softness of natural forms. It is not simply a decorative object: it is a point of light that gives character to a wall and, day after day, shapes the way a space is lived in.
